You can now explore the Rideau, a UNESCO World Heritage Site (whc.unesco.org), gas free! The Rideau Roundtable offers multi-day voyageur canoe tours on the Rideau Waterway. Explore many of the bays and wetlands on this majestic Heritage River (www.chrs.ca), and visit some of the historical towns and villages.

Starting from wherever you choose, your trip will begin with an instruction and safety session, where you will learn all you need to know to paddle a 34-foot canoe. As we progress down the river, our knowledgeable guides will tell you about the history and nature of the Rideau and its towns and villages.

When the paddling is done for the day, you will find yourself at one of the many bed & breakfasts or inns the Rideau has to offer. Whether we stop in Newboro or Merrickville, there will be plenty for you to do once we hit the shore. Shop, eat, or even listen to live music, the choice is yours.

Regardless of the option you choose, we promise you that by the end of your trip, you'll walk away not only with an appreciation for the environment, but with a smile on your face. For more information or to book a trip or guide, email us at [email protected].
